Little Pine Consulting’s Essential Components
ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis)
All services provided are based on the principle of ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis). ABA is an approach founded on the science of learning and behavior. It is used in many contexts including but not limited to parent training, education, health and fitness, healthcare, and business management.
Parent Training
Parent Training is an essential part of any ABA treatment plan as parents play an integral part in their children’s everyday lives. Once parents are equipped with behavioral strategies, they will be able to apply those strategies to new challenges that may arise in the future.
Targeted Approach
I will work together with parents to identify both long term and short term goals and will provide tools and strategies to attain those goals. Through this targeted approach, programs will be individually designed to address the strength, challenges and values of each client.
Welcome
Hello, I am Dr. Chisato Komatsu and am a Licensed Psychologist and a Board Certified Behavior Analyst at the doctoral level.
My practice includes short and long term intervention helping individuals and parents identify and attain goals using the principal of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). It is not a traditional talk therapy. I will guide you through identifying goals, learning multiple strategies and applying those strategies in various settings. I utilize evidence-based data-driven interventions, which help individuals and parents learn how to take action in their lives to achieve ideal outcomes in a safe, confidential and empathic environment.
In the current environment, parents are being uncharacteristically challenged, with factors including work, caring for children and/or family members, supporting children with school work, maintaining the safety and wellbeing of self and family, and managing difficult emotions. Parents are asked to wear many hats all at the same time, and this may appear unattainable to many. As a mother of two, I’m experiencing it myself.
I specialize in working with individuals and parents (i.e., parent training) so they can identify the problem(s) at hand. Let’s work to decrease challenging behaviors while increasing appropriate behaviors, ultimately enhancing the overall well-being for each family member.
I offer services in the areas including but not limited to Culver City, Playa Vista, Mar Vista, West Los Angeles, and throughout California.
