I do not currently accept insurance, but I can provide documentation if clients wish to seek reimbursement through insurance company.
Please see below for more information regarding reimbursement.
I do offer sliding scale to a limited number of clients.
Session Types
Free 30 minute phone consultation:
I offer free 30 minute phone consultations so that I can learn more about you, what services you are interested in, and how I could best support you. This phone consultation is an opportunity for you to ask any questions you may have about the services and make an informed decision about whether I would be a good match for you to advance in the treatment process.
FREE
Initial Intake session:
Following the free phone consultation, I will send you intake paperwork so that you can review and complete them prior to this initial session.
We will schedule a 45-90 minute session following the initial phone consultation, in order for us to go through the personal and behavioral history described on the intake paperwork. I will gather detailed information regarding your current challenges, which will help me identify what the target behaviors and appropriate goals may be, as well as factors hindering you from achieving those goals. We will then work together in a collaborative manner to develop short- and long-term treatment goals. Of course, you can continue to ask any questions you may have in this session.
$200-360 for 45-90-minute session
Individual session:
Office sessions: During the second session, we will develop a treatment plan. The treatment plan is individually tailored to meet the needs of you, your child and the family. Most client will begin with weekly 50-minute session, the frequency may vary depending on the need. Extended session may be arranged to maximize treatment effectiveness and will be prorated accordingly.
$225 per 50-minute session
School/Community/Organizational Consultation: To maximize treatment effectiveness, sessions may take place in client’s home, at school or in community setting. These sessions taking place outside of office setting may be conducted on regular or as needed basis depending on the applicability of the treatment plan.
I will administer and complete Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBA) in these settings upon request.
$225 per 50-minute session
Benefits of Private Pay
There are several benefits of not using insurance.
Diagnosis not required. No diagnosis is required to justify or qualify for therapy. Diagnosis is often required to qualify for any services if you were to use insurance. Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is proven to be effective in bringing change to all behaviors across various contexts, regardless of diagnosis.
Confidentiality. Without your written consent, your insurance company, doctors, or other healthcare providers will not have access to your child’s health information or diagnosis. Please note that in order to file for reimbursement, a superbill requires certain information including diagnosis and dates of services.
Control. You will have control over the length, duration, and type of treatment that you receive instead of insurance company dictating those factors.
Reimbursement
You may choose to seek reimbursement through the insurance company, and if you choose this route, I can provide you with a superbill that you could send to your insurance company for potential reimbursement. Please note that reimbursement varies and depends on your out-of-network benefits, and you as a client is responsible for understanding your insurance benefits.
If interested, please call your child’s insurance provider to identify your out-of-network services.
Below are some questions you can ask:
• What are my out-of-network benefits for outpatient behavioral health services?
• What is my deductible? How much of my deductible has been met this year?
• Do I need a referral from an in-network provider to see someone out-of-network?
• Are there limits to the total number of sessions per calendar year?
• Are there limits to the total amount reimbursed per session (e.g., what is my “allowable amount”)?
Payment
I accept cash and all major credit cards (including HSA/FSA payment cards).
